About the Owner
Eugene Lalonde - Owner / operator "The Ranch" Highway 55 Debden

I grew up a few short miles from "The Ranch" in the tiny hamlet of Victoire, Saskatchewan. My parents owned and operated the general country store there for many years. The store remains in the family with my younger brother now owning and operating the store.
I followed in the footsteps of my parents and for a time owned and operated my own grocery store, first in the town of Leask and later I co-owned another grocery store with my brother-in-law in the northern town of Buffalo Narrows. When the opportunity arose to sell the store in Buffalo Narrows, I now had a young family and I decided to move back to my home area. I purchased farmland, renovated and added on to an existing house to house my family which now consisted of 4 children. The years flew by quickly and now the children are grown, most of the farmland has been sold and what remains is the house and the acres that my family affectionately refers to as "The Ranch". The entrepreneurial spirit remains and I am so excited about this venture, sharing the rooms of my rambling house and the Cabins and suites in The Bunkhouse.
